- Archipelag Publishing House
Publishing house "Archipelag" is preparing for the release of books, which will be a continuation of the series "Kindergarten on Wheels" loved by many young readers and their parents. Books from the series "Math on Wheels" will give children basic knowledge of mathematics and will help them learn in school and preparatory classes. They will help to adapt in the first school classes and help to develop logical and analytical thinking skills.
In the new books, the excavator Clusha, the steam locomotive Spunchik and their friends begin to learn the basics of mathematics. They learn to count, to compare the sizes and shapes of objects, to draw figures. The author of the books is the writer Zulya Stadnik, multiple laureate of all-Russian competitions of children's literature, winner of the Korneichukov Prize. “Yogi the Puppy looking for a Bone”, another book by Zulya Stadnik published in the “Archipelag”, entered the shortlist of the "Big Tale" award in 2022.
Zulya Stadnik is not only a writer for children, but is also a teacher with many years of experience. This experience allows the writer to create fascinating books that hold the attention of the child. The Math on Wheels series focuses on making information interesting and easy for children to learn, and making learning a fun game. Books from the new cycle can be considered non-fiction editions for the youngest. They are written in a language understandable to any child, and the illustrations of the artist Svetlana Korotkova, a repeated diploma winner of the children's book illustration competition "The Image of the Book", further simplify the perception of new concepts and rules.
The “Math on Wheels” series is published in the format of cardboard books. They are easy to carry, durable and safe for the youngest readers thanks to the thick cardboard pages and rounded corners.
Zulya Stadnik’s series “Kindergarten on Wheels” consists of 4 books: “Kindergarten on Wheels”, “Kindergarten on Wheels: Middle group”, "Kindergarten on Wheels celebrates the New Year”, “Kindergarten on Wheels gets ready for school”. Each is designed for a certain age and stage of adaptation in kindergarten: from the first visit and attempts to make friends with peers to preparation for the morning classes and entry into first grade. Books can be discussed with children while reading, discussing the actions of the characters, which will help the child better understand others and feel more confident in kindergarten and when communicating with peers.
