This is a fable picture book about the excitement and awkwardness of first love, as well as the themes of separation and hope.
One spring day, a naive deer and a Babsae (Korean crow-tit) become neighbors. As spring and summer pass, they gradually grow closer and develop feelings for each other. When autumn arrives, they each prepare a gift for the other. However, the deer accidentally breaks one of its antlers. Shocked and overwhelmed by the unfamiliar situation and emotions, it runs away, leaving the Babsae to spend the winter alone.
This is a heartwarming story that gently embraces the clumsy emotions of a first love.
