Pitti and the faraway forest
- The Bortolato Analogical Method - by Erickson
The air around Pitti, the brave little robin’s nest, resounds with the calls and songs of other birds, which the wind carries from the distant forest. One verse intrigues him most of all. Who does this strong and strange voice belong to? And what will Pitti do? Will he try to imitate it or will he go in search of its mysterious owner?
It will be the reader him/herself to discover what happens next, reading this short story autonomously, thanks to the alphabet strip which is incorporated in the book.
First leaps in reading – FOR CREATING PASSIONATE YOUNG READERS
A new series intended to bring children ages 3 and up closer to reading because the pleasure of reading is experienced, even independently, with the utmost spontaneity, based on the student’s readiness, curiosity and rhythm.
Combining the hook letters, the child will discover that he/she can read his/her first words with great ease, and then apply the same mechanism to normal letters.
The Alphabet
The alphabet strip, attached to each volume, presents the entire alphabet at once, including digraphs and trigraphs, providing an overview from above so children do not get lost while reading. The strip, which can be kept open above the book for children to consult as necessary, contains hook images, difficult spellings, and shows capital and lowercase letters right away to support children as they learn to read.
