Samokat is one of the first independent children’s book publishers in Russia. The only Russian publisher ever shortlisted for the BOP - Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publishers of the Year several times. 
Our authors and illustrators have won prestigious Russian and international awards, such as the Bratislava Biennale of Illustration (BIB), and are regularly selected for the White Crows catalogue published by the International Youth Library in Munich. Our books are regular participants in the 1001 Outstanding International Books exhibition in Bologna Book Fairs. We work with young artists and those who have already made a name for themselves. We have a competition for young authors and artists - The Book Inside. 
Our books have already been translated into more than 10 languages ​​and published in 15 countries.
