Academia Press, founded in July, 1981, belongs to Shanghai People's Publishing House, Shanghai Century Publishing (Group) Co., Ltd. With the purpose of “Be the Forests of Academia, Become the Friends of Learning”, the press primarily publishes academic monographs and mass readings in politics, history, philosophy, social sciences, culture and management. A variety of books won the special award of the Best Works Award, Best Books on China, the nomination of National Book Award, China Book Award, and etc. Moreover, they were elected by the projects at the provincial or national level like main publications of theme publishing and National Publication Foundation.
