JIELI Publishing House was founded in 1990. Since its establishment, JIELI has been awarded Five Ones Project Awards (by Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China) for eight consecutive years and honored as National Excellent Publishing House (by State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television) for three times. In April 2016, JIELI won the BOOKBRUNCH International Children and Adolescence Publisher Award (by London International Book Fair and British Publishers Association). In May 2020, JIELI won Bologna Prize Best Children’s Publishers of the Year, which is the first Chinese publishing house won the two laurels.
