This book is divided into six volumes by pre-Qin, Qin and Han, Wei Jin Northern and Southern Dynasties, Sui and Tang, Song and Yuan, Ming and Qing, each of which includes approximately 20 stories. In terms of the content, the original historical stories written by Mr. Lin Handa are retained, and the other readable historical stories are selected and rewritten, in order to achieve a vivid and lively style of writing. The full text is notated with pinyin and accompanied by the large pictures in cartoon style so as to meet the reading needs of the primary school students, especially those in lower grades.
