The story about young Yuni meeting the needle person to grow and about young Yuni finding new hope by meeting the needle child is quite mythical and fantastic. 
The illustrations of Ye-Jin Mo used delicate pencil lines to express the real world in monotone and to richly express the fantasy world with various green colors. 
In result, she was able to perfectly embody the theme of raising hope amidst darkness. 
[The Needle] is the stepping stone for children to overcome their fears and proceed to the path of growth.
